It’s official: Inviqa's head of training, Marcello Duarte, is the UK’s Best Technical Agile Coach.
Beating stiff competition from the country’s leading trainers, Marcello was awarded the prestigious title at last night’s Agile Awards where more than 150 attendees turned out in black tie to celebrate the best Agile practitioners in the country.
Marcello was commended for his unparalleled experience in helping organisations transform their technical practices into flexible value-driven development, and for his commitment to Agile.
Throughout hundreds of projects, Marcello has coached more than 500 people in Agile processes and practices like Scrum, TDD, Refactoring, Collaborative Product Ownership and Software Quality. Just one example of his incredibly high quality Agile coaching is Softonic – a project he has championed over a number of years and is going from strength to strength.
John Hart, regional applications lead at Estée Lauder, explains how Marcello’s guidance helped his team concentrate on what mattered most:
The Impact Mapping workshop delivered to us by Marcello has proved to be invaluable and we have since worked it into our project analysis and estimation procedures. It ensured that we focused on clear business value rather than an unsubstantiated list of requirements, and was delivered in a language that the business could easily relate to.
As well as client training, Marcello regularly coaches our own team to ensure our engineers and delivery teams remain at the forefront of the software development industry.
I have had the pleasure of working with Marcello for many years, and in my view, he is an unsung hero, an enabler of ‘getting stuff done’. With his high quality training, Marcello has delivered true value to the 500+ people he has coached, and I am delighted he has been given the recognition he deserves.
Inviqa would like to congratulate all nominees of the 5th annual UK Agile Awards and extend its thanks to the organisers for a fantastic event.
