Inviqa partners with Phase2 to bring Atrium to Europe

Inviqa today announced a strategic partnership with Phase2 – a US web and software development company – to become the exclusive UK and European provider for Phase2’s leading collaboration software, Atrium.

Atrium is an open source, Drupal platform that serves as a foundation for building complex intranets, extranets, and community portals. Phase2 identified Inviqa as the ideal partner to help serve growing customer demand for the platform in Europe thanks to Inviqa’s content management systems (CMS) expertise and proven track record with the Atrium software.

‘Inviqa is the ideal agency to expand Atrium adoption in Europe’, said Phase2 CEO Jeff Walpole. ‘Inviqa has the Drupal background necessary to successfully implement big Atrium projects and contribute in a significant way to its development as a collaboration tool’.

The partnership will improve Inviqa’s ability to rapidly meet customer needs, as Myles Davidson, director of Inviqa’s content management practice, explained:

This collaboration with Phase2 further strengthens Inviqa’s ability to rapidly build the complex solutions our clients need. Working closely with Phase2 will give us even greater access to the technical leaders behind the popular Atrium open source software, so it’s a win-win for all involved.

The partnership gives Inviqa the right to directly contribute to the product’s functionality. Inviqa’s previous experience with the platform includes successfully implementing Atrium for Scottish Government agency, Scottish Natural Heritage.

The implementation provided the organisation with an open source, out-of-the-box intranet configured to the organisation’s needs, according to Scottish Natural Heritage’s Martin Stubbs-Partridge:

‘The result is an affordable intranet that is improving our internal communications including compliance and information management. It also provides features that will help us fulfill our digital workplace ambitions. Scottish Natural Heritage is committed to delivering a high quality public service'.

‘Working with our implementation partner, Inviqa, allows us to do this, enabling us get on with investing in Scotland’s nature and landscapes’.

Phase2 is a recognised leader in open source technology and designs and builds some of the most trusted websites in the world. Organisations including Major League Soccer, Red Hat, and Weight Watchers rely on Phase2’s technical expertise to craft robust digital solutions and collaboration systems.
