Team growth set to drive further success for the Drupal specialist agency
Originally a boutique Drupal agency, since joining The Inviqa Group in 2015 iKOS Digital has more than doubled its core team, attracting a number of leading industry peers.
The expansion is part of a plan that The Inviqa Group’s CEO, Yair Spitzer, laid out around a simple concept: ‘people first’. Upon joining forces, his message to iKOS’s Managing Director,Myles Davidson was clear: “Build the Drupal A-team”.
On the challenge of rapidly growing the team, Davidson commented: “The recruitment of highly experienced Drupal software engineers and professional service experts is far from easy in such a competitive market. But one of iKOS’s advantages now is being part of The Inviqa Group, with its 11 regional offices across the UK and Europe, and an excellent HR team”.
The core belief that people, energy, experience and ideas are the lifeblood that helps agencies thrive and grow, has been guiding the team’s expansion and the selection of the best Drupal talent available.
So there’s no better way to start a new year than with six new team members. Proudly introducing:
Chris Roye - Sales Director
Chris joins us from Acquia, where he was a Regional Director in the enterprise sales team. Having operated across a number of verticals, Chris brings with him a very broad view of how digital is impacting business globally.
He has already worked with iKOS in the past on projects that include Lush, Worldpay and Skills Development Scotland. With his successful track record of joining high-growth companies and playing an integral role in developing strategy and execution, Chris’ appointment represents a significant step in expanding iKOS’ commercial capabilities.
Tim Bailey - Account Director
Tim joins iKOS to develop the new role of Account Director, managing relationships with our multi-project clients.
Previously, Tim has been UK Head of Operations for Commerce Guys, as well as Head of Projects for a digital marketing agency, IT Manager, Organisational Consultant, Policy Researcher and Book Designer.
Tim also plays guitar and is a partner in Oil City Pickups, a well-regarded maker of replacement guitar pickups.
Steve Richards - Technical Team Lead
Having spent the past three and a half years as the Lead Developer at a Brighton-based Drupal agency, Steve brings with him a wealth of knowledge delivering complex Drupal projects for brands such as NBC Universal, Air New Zealand and the NHS.
He has over 10 years’ experience in the digital space, he is an Acquia-certified Drupal developer, and has been an active participant in the Brighton and wider Drupal community for the past 4 years.
Steve previously played a key development role at a global events organisation, spearheading the decision to move their proprietary website stock to the Drupal CMS, and ultimately leading the internal team to migrate 20+ multilingual sites to a centrally-managed Drupal-based platform.
Nick Dolley - Senior Drupal Developer
Nick is a Drupal developer with over 11 years’ commercial experience, working with clients from a range of sectors.
Prior to joining iKOS, Nick was Drupal Technical Team Lead at a Liverpool-based digital agency, leading the agency’s adoption of Drupal 7 as their CMS platform of choice. Before discovering Drupal, Nick has worked extensively building bespoke web applications using Zend framework 1. Since then, he has become an expert Drupal backend developer, creating advanced custom modules for a number of large-scale projects.
He’s always worked very closely with clients, from discovery to delivery, and is particularly interested in builds involving third-party providers.
Marcos Duran - Software Engineer
Marcos is a Software Engineer with experience working for digital agencies, film, and AAA Games for one of the top industry’s entertainment companies, getting involved with projects and brands as varied as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Suzuki and Dygra Films.
Marcos brings to iKOS a combined mix of technical, artistic and creative skills, a passion for the web and, as of the past few years, for Drupal.
Karen Grey - Senior Drupal Developer
Karen has worked with Drupal for over 6 years in the commercial sector, and comes from a background of over 15 years’ web development experience.
Karen has previously worked for digital agencies dealing with large scale Drupal sites, including e-commerce and third-party integrations. With her extensive knowledge of Drupal Commerce, Karen has contributed to the community with payment gateway modules, such as Commerce Smartpay, and provided support to the Drupal 8 issue queue. Karen has taken a lead developer role for her projects at iKOS, working closely with clients and the team to ensure the builds are well planned, kept to budget and delivered on time.
